About Anver Larson

After college I took a job as a temporary employee in the mortgage industry without so much as knowing how a mortgage worked. I worked long hours, learned, perfected techniques and routinely lead our team in generating new business. Within a year, I was promoted to underwriting where I was tasked with deciding who was/was not eligible for a mortgage. I moved to the Loss Mitigation department where I worked to find ways to restructure loans in order to help our customers keep their mortgage, stay in their homes and avoid foreclosure. Because big wheels spin slow, we often found ourselves understaffed, and unable give our customers the level of service they deserved. It was hard, heavy work and eventually I decided a change was best for me. I relocated and went back to helping create new business as an underwriter. I was promoted to a management position, and eventually our group pivoted to performing nationwide in-house audits to help improve accuracy, productivity and process flow within our department. Again, I was left feeling I had more to give, but was restricted by the larger forces that were at work within the organization. I was offered the chance to use my background in mortgage to help build a new department from scratch. I jumped. Since joining Fields Law Firm, I've been able to draw on my experiences to fuel my ambition to find people in need, and help them fight back. Nothing is quite as satisfying as being part of a team who delivers a Win to a client - especially one who felt they had no one on their side until they found us. Helping increase our impact by growing our practice is not only my job - it is my passion.
