About Anya Antropova

With over 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality projects and custom residential homes working at leading architecture and interior design offices in Toronto and New York, Anya started her interior design studio in 2023. A graduate from McGill Masters in Architecture in Montreal, Anya studied in Canada and Italy before further pursuing her design research in Japan. She then published a book, Learning From Wood: Tradition and Innovation in Japanese Wood Joinery. This was the beginning of her life long journey and passion in celebrating traditional knowledge and craftsmanship honoured by contemporary vision. Since then, Anya honed her skills at leading offices internationally working on luxury hospitality, retail and cultural projects throughout Russia, Asia, Mexico and Brazil, including brands and venues like Mariinsky Theatre, Grand Hyatt Hotel, St. Regis Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel. Before starting her studio, Anya was a design director at Hariri Pontarini Architects leading interior design visions for award winning cultural venues including Stratford Theatre in Canada, La Clara Residence in West Palm Beach, The James Residence in Toronto and numerous high-end custom residential homes locally and internationally. With her multicultural background, understanding of high-end needs, and with over 15 years of experience in hospitality and custom homes she brings a unique voice and strong cultural identity to every project under her belt. Anya currently lives between Canada and India, always in search of meaningful partnerships, projects and experiences.
