About Appurva Jain

R&D Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D.)| Ductile rupture | Material modelling. I work on the development of numerical models and experimental characterization techniques for rupture in Ductile materials. I am a proactive and curious researcher with international working experience as a research fellow. My main fields of expertise are Solid Mechanics, Finite Element Methods, and the investigation of rupture in ductile materials mainly applied to aeronautics. I have five years of experience using ABAQUS, but I also know other FEA solvers (LS-DYNA, Ansys, and MSC Nastran) and CAD software (CATIA and Solidworks). I also have a strong background in data analysis (using Matlab and especially Python), fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. During the last five years, I gained strong communication skills through oral dissertations in international scientific conferences and the publication of scientific papers.
