Portfolio: https://aprajit-k.netlify.app/ I'm a recent web development boot-camp graduate transitioning from the insurance industry. I started working in an insurance company as soon as my MBA was completed. I progressed through the roles and changed companies looking for my place in the corporate world. However, I was never really satisfied with what I was doing. There was something missing. That’s when I decided take some time to identify my true passion. Looking back at all my roles, the only common aspect was that I was always involved in software testing and deployment. However, being a software tester was not sufficient. I did not just want to identify the bugs in the software. I wanted to fix them myself and also have the ability to create my own applications. I decided then to figure out how I could break into the world of software development. I came across the web development boot-camp offered by Lighthouse Labs and thought it was a no brainer and jumped right into the world of programming. I gained extensive knowledge and skills in NodeJS, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Material UI, Ruby on Rails, HTML, SQL and CSS over the course of my boot-camp. I have also gained experience in testing modules such as Mocha, Chai, Cypress and Rspec.
