About April Adams

My primary interests, successful professional experience and education are in areas related to visual art and specialty fashion and apparel- production, retail management, customer service, and sales. My greatest interests are related to outdoor adventure, survival, theatrical and fantasy costuming, comic art, and in community events that emphasize these things (conventions, festivals, etc). I am also an honorably discharged and multi-generational veteran of the US armed forces (US Army and have related technical and managerial aptitudes, as detailed below. I enjoy gardening and seasonal agriculture activities, and have experience in vegetable and preserve production and point-of sale farm stand management. This contributes to my experience with retail management, customer service, and sales, also detailed below. I have a bachelors degree in Arts Education, with professional training and experience in a variety of visual 2 and 3 dimensional media, including sequential art (comics), ceramics/porcelain, jewelry, and fine metals. My partner and I are currently producing a comic and enjoy our relationships in the comics craft and industry. I also enjoy outdoor adventure, lifestyle, survival and emergency preparedness, and would thrive in a retail environment that supplies gear for related activities. I seek regular full-time employment in areas related to specialty apparel and outfitting, including for quality conscious fashion, outdoor adventure, and survival. I have a particular interest in both production and distribution of fantasy costuming and participation in relevant community and market-related events. I'm a big fan of Comicon and related activities, and am a believer that while apparel is certainly about style, it can also literally mean the difference between life and death.
