About April Archer

I worked full time for eleven years in a practical, hands on maintenance role for Flagship Homes and then three years at Suffolk County Council in an administration role as a Support and Information Officer within Children and Young People Services. I also spent most of this time studying (part time) towards an Open University BSc degree in Social Policy and Criminology, which I have now completed with a confirmed (2:2) BSc Honours. I have been working as an Individual Conciliator for ACAS East of England, where I am able to utilise and apply my diverse skills, obtained in my previous employment and through my studies with the Open University to mediate disputes between employees and employers. Also, since 2018, I have taken on the role as a Director/Trustee for Solo Housing (East Anglia) Ltd, providing governance and fundraising activities. Based in Diss in Norfolk, we work to provide housing and support solutions for single homeless adults across East Anglia. I have a skill and knowledge base in the public sector. Supporting people in both the housing and children services sectors, where I have assisted in providing a joined up approach, by working with local authorities and relevant stakeholders.
