About April Knoke

I'm a Humanitarian at heart. I was raised in Mexico and Costa Rica by missionary parents. I speak Spanish fluently and enjoy learning about diverse cultures. I studied Religion and Philosophy in undergraduate and International Studies for graduate work. Compassion is my strongest gift. The honor and privilege of being a Chaplain has fulfilled a strong ministry calling. There are many causes that I firmly believe help change our world for the better. They include: International Justice Mission; World Vision; Compassion International; Living Water International; Habitat for Humanity; The One Campaign; A21 Campaign. I've enjoyed going on several short-term mission/ministry trips to Jerusalem, Israel; Athens, Greece; Rome, Italy; Manila, Philippines; where I've learned that God is working in the lives of people all across the world. Highlights from these trips for me were - walking the streets that Jesus walked and experiencing the spot where His body was laid, standing in places where the Apostle Paul preached, hearing the Pope pray at The Vatican in several different languages, going to an incredible working monastery at Meteoros. Not to mention the History of Christianity and it's affect on the human race. Grow where you are planted and know that one person CAN make a difference.
