April spent nearly a decade consulting in Employee Benefits for clients who sought guidance in wellbeing and population health management programs and solutions. Her educational background in public health, behavior change, and health promotion & education led her to refine her skills in relationship management and the process of designing programs that delivered on high engagement, cost savings, and a culture of wellbeing. April became a SME in uncovering challenges through claims data exploration and identifying vendor partner recommendations to solve for the organizational goals her clients strived for. After being submersed in the sea of solutions, April realized health and wellbeing doesn't start in a point solution for chronic disease, care advocacy, or a company step challenge. While those things are great to supplement for your culture, health and wellbeing starts with exceptional care and prevention, delivered conveniently, affordably and delightfully.#CareThatPeopleLove But we live in a country with a reactive healthcare system, not a proactive one. Employers don't realize the power they have to influence change in this industry and our standards for healthcare. So April has made a career and lifetime out of inspiring change at the employer level of health and benefits. After all, if we do what we have always done we will get what we have always had.
