I am a kind, generous, big hearted individual that is able to empathize with others when they are discussing their feeling's, concern's, and fears about life, death, and difficult decisions that have to be made in regards to their health and medical procedures. I absolutely love working in the community and assisting those who are in need of home care services. I am very respectful of my clients and my fellow employee's, as well as my employer's. I feel that I am fulfilling my purpose in life by helping others get through their day whether it is assisting with dressing, grooming, tranfer's, ambulation, feeding, light cleaning duties, meal prep, showering/bathing. etc. It gives me a sense of security, knowing that I was able to do my job while helping my client's do everything that needs to be done safely. I am seeking to become a full time Personal Support Worker in the Windsor Ontario area or The Greater Detroit Area where I can apply compassionate care to those that are in dire need of Home Care. I enjoy the responsibility of assisting people back to being and staying independent for as long as possible, if possible while allowing them to keep their dignity, allowing them to voices their preferences, respecting their privacy, displaying and understanding that each individual has their own value's and belief's, and taking into consideration that as a Personal Support Worker, we need them more than they need us in a certain aspect and that they need us more than we need them in another. I honestly believe that it is seriously mandatory to build a professional/therapeutic relationship between PSW and client while staying within our Scope of Practice.
