About April Powell

I am passionate about healthcare. I believe anyone can make a difference! When I began college at Brigham Young University I was introduced to Athletic Training. I was embarrassed that I did not know what this field entailed. But that's okay, most people actually think we are personal trainers. I was excited to learn that an Athletic Trainer provides hands-on medical treatment and implements rehabilitation programs to athletes. Also embarrassingly, I did not understand some of the larger sports. So I learned as I went. I also learned it is okay to have questions, and to be humble enough to ask a lot of them! Soon after my husband and I welcomed our first son, I applied for a job at a local hospital. Not knowing what I was going into, I walked into the interview with a sliver of confidence - hoping I would say all of right things. The manager hired me. During my time at Timpanogos Regional Hospital, I discovered my love for working "behind the scenes" to benefit the community; I gained a strong desire to help people. My interaction with local physicians and their patients was both challenging and exciting. While working at Revere Health I have continued to enjoy the satisfaction of being part of 'the greater picture'.
