About April Raimundo

April is a dual qualified lawyer (England and Wales + Philippines) with over 15 years of legal experience both in an international law firm and in house. In the last 10 years she has become highly specialized in funds practice, asset management, private debt and real estate as the legal and compliance head of Singapore investment management firms. She was included in the 2016 edition of Asian Legal Business' 40 under 40 and the The Legal 500 2022 GC Powerlist. Prior to joining Greystar, April was the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of EFA Group. Before that, April was an Associate at Baker & McKenzie International. Her legal practice focused on various aspects of corporate and commercial work including mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and review, doing business concerns, due diligence, outsourcing, special registrations and structuring of investments. Her industry concentrations included environment and natural resources, real estate, outsourcing and retail trade. Previous to that, she represented indigent clients in court for a variety of civil and criminal cases through the UP Office of Legal Aid and the Washington based NGO - International Justice Mission. She has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law where she graduated at the top of her class and was awarded the Dean's Medal for Academic Excellence. She also has a BS in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and attended executive development courses in various institutions including Harvard Business School.
