As a Workers' Compensation Claims Manager at Lexington Health, I oversee the entire health district's self-insurance program for workers' comp claims, covering more than employees. I am working on my Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, and over 25 years of experience in the workers' comp field, working as a paralegal and a legal assistant in the past.My core competencies include coordinating and negotiating insurance policies and TPA services, managing budgeting and payment processes, participating in legal proceedings and settlements, and in the process of creating a work pool for injured workers on restrictions. I am also skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, and have an OSHA 30-Hour certification. My mission is to ensure the proper treatment and compensation of injured workers, while minimizing the costs and risks for the organization. I am always looking for ways to improve the workers' comp program and the work environment for the staff and the administration.
