About April Weickert
MSVU BBA Alumni I’ve spent the past decade years working along side my dad getting hands on entrepreneurial experience at Torpedo Rays Scuba Adventures. In my time at TRSA I developed a variety of skill sets I am extremely excited to share, and passionate about. I learned a lot about marketing, between running the social media accountants, running events, and collaborating with other businesses on projects. I worked retail and sales, as well as teaching. I am a PADI Instructor, and have a passion for teaching people to dive. I am a lover of the Ocean and invested a lot of my life making it a better place. I've run numerous ocean clean ups in Halifax, and removed hundreds of pounds of garbage. What I would consider one of my greatest accomplishments is the Ladies Dive Club I founded, the "SeaFoxes". In nearly 4 years of diving we have over 300 women in our club and it has blossomed into something I never would've imagined! As a group we have revamped the female dive community in Nova Scotia, and are arguably one of the most active dive clubs in Nova Scotia.
