Background
About Apryl Barbeau
I grew up in the Northwest Territories, land of ice and snow. Grew up living at the arena figure skating in the winters, summers spent at the beach. Along the way to where I am today, I’ve held a variety of jobs over my life, from general office duty to crab fishing in eastern Canada. Spent 13 yrs doing security work between Edmonton and red deer. Now I’m back to living on ice as an arena operator. I’ve done a full circle from being the ice user to the ice maker. It was a drastic career change to go from security type work to being an operator. But it’s been a great one, and I’m loving the new path I’ve taken. When I’m not at the arena I’m found at home either working on making our farm better or spending time with my family, my small herd of goats, as well as my pack of dogs, or visiting with my horses!
