About Apryl Munro

I have more than 20 years of broadcasting and video production and social media experience. With a passion for storytelling, reporting and producing for a daily news program at Rogers TV was where I learned how to effectively make people care about the people in their communities. In that time I honed my interview style that has been called trusting by many In 2011, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime: to become the Associate News Producer for Breakfast Television Toronto. I worked alongside the best in the business and quickly became part of the BT family. In addition to working in one of the busiest newsrooms, I had produced entertainment segments, the chats and also produced some regular segments for the show outside of news. In 2012 I left to pursue opportunities in communications including a rewarding position with Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services. I co-founded TKL Media in 2016, returning to my video roots, producing TV shows for Bell Fibe TV1 and a popular social media channel, This Kinda Life. TKL Media expanded in 2018 to provide content creation and social media management to businesses. TKL Media introduces the Influencer approach to content, putting the spotlight on the people behind the brand.
