About Aqrar Khan

I am a hands-on executive, an accomplished PMP, and a visionary leader who understands and plans for the long run. I bring 30 years of diverse international experience in major oil and gas and EPC Companies with a proven track record of delivering business solutions and maximizing value. I have developed and implemented the best project management practices for the activities I personally led and those within my sphere of influence. For the past 14 years, I have been involved in managing multibillion projects portfolio comprising of mega-offshore infrastructure, artificial islands, pipelines, the construction of processing facilities, and other infrastructure on the islands. Beyond oil and gas processing and export facilities projects, I have worked on infrastructure development projects which included development of an artificial island for housing, recreation, and other facilities to accommodate personnel. The footprint also includes installing facilities for storage and export of crude oil and condensate through VLCCs, projects related to conversion of low-pressure gases to LNG, rich gas compression and export to downstream companies. I am an exceptional motivator and strategist with a 360-degree view of the oil and gas business. I also specialize in formulating and implementing cross-functional business strategies for delivering operational excellence and mega infrastructure projects. I leverage innovative ideas, smart technologies, AI, digital applications, and integration to optimize work procedures and remote operations to improve real-time decision-making––especially in remote areas or hazardous conditions. I have a passion for building and leading performance-driven organizations. I have hired hundreds of talented people and led multicultural individuals and teams from India, Europe, Japan, Korea, North America, and the Middle East (Egypt, Kuwait, Iran, and the UAE). I am an advocate for Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity (DEI) measures, and professional development. I have created numerous opportunities for young professionals to develop their technical capabilities––encouraging contributions and participation in local/regional technical events––which has produced promotions.
