About Araba Ofori-Acquah

Blending ancient wisdom with modern technology, I work at the intersection of culture, wellness and technology. I am a writer, healer, DJ, coach and creative entrepreneur working with individuals and companies to make a difference in the world. As a freelance writer, I create content that educates, inspires and makes often complex topics more accessible. Long-form writing is my thing - I love creating ebooks, reports and online courses that take readers on a journey and bring topics to life. I work with a range of clients, with a particular focus on health and tech. My book 'Return to Source: Unlock the power of African-centred wellness', published by Hay House, brings a decolonised perspective to an often exclusive industry, and it was awarded the World of Books Impact Award by Society of Authors. Drawing on African philosophy, this book shares an approach to wellness that I infuse in my own life and my work. As one third of the founding team of Transit, I am building the home of house music in Ghana. Through skills development, community building and experience curation, we aim to cultivate a thriving electronic music community with wellness as a foundational principle. As a DJ, I view music as a tool for healing. An Oroko Radio resident, my shows draw on nostalgia to create joyful moments. As a gig DJ, I blend Afro sounds with soulful vocals and a disco twist to get people dancing - and singing - like nobody's watching! While my interests, skills and background are varied, I'm ultimately interested in changing narratives (especially on Africa and Africans), promoting wellbeing and helping people thrive.
