Working as an independent market researcher and consultant with different individuals and agencies (in India and overseas) on various research (academic, social, primary, secondary) and advertising related work including research design, instrument design, data collection (in-depth interviews), statistical analysis, field briefing, reporting. • Quantitative and Qualitative research • Customized research – usage & attitude studies, product-concept tests, advertisement tests, pricing tests, brand tracking, simulated test marketing, customer satisfaction studies, corporate image measurement studies, advertising hoarding ratings, conjoints, opinion polls, distributor evaluation, etc. • Syndicated studies – such as NRS (National Readership Survey) in India and JD Power’s Auto Research in Singapore • Various product/service categories – healthcare/pharmacy, insurance, social concerns, food, personal care, laundry, consumer durables, automobiles, telecom services, etc. • Familiar with SPSS for generating basic reports and carrying out statistical analysis • Been working with Clear Ideas and Engine International (formerly ORC Research and Consulting), Right Angle/ Incite Marketing Planning, Kantar (Lightspeed Research)(all based in Singapore), Median Research (India) • Over the last few years - Have managed a few entire projects coordinating with scripting agencies, translation teams, field teams and data processing analysis agencies, and also interacting with clients - Have carried out specific tasks such as questionnaire designing, doing in-depth interviews, writing data analysis plans, drafting reports • Handled some large projects for RI Singapore (before merger with TNS)- FMCG Brand Track – along with a team in India, handled checking of automated reports economically and with very quick turnaround - Telecom sector – Handled field briefings in India and Bangladesh and worked on reports 2. Handling financial matters for private firms and an NGO - including taxation and FCRA related matters. Writing and mobilising citizens to write about things encountered in our daily lives.
