About Arcella Reyes

Arcella has taught English and Spanish to youth and adults in the United States, Mexico, Lebanon and the Czech Republic. Her interests lie at the crossroads of psychology and language learning with a focus on vulnerable populations such as disenfranchised learners, economic migrants and political refugees. She has delivered professional workshops on communicative language methodology and detecting anxiety in students’ body language, as well as, conference presentations on effective needs assessment in adult tutoring, distance learning during the COVID pandemic for faith-based learning communities, and curriculum on how to master American job interviews to find sustainable employment. Her MA thesis focused on perceptions of linguistic learning in a Middle Eastern vocational institute.
