About Archiman Biswas

Research Scholar | Urban Planner | Architect I'm Archiman Biswas, an Architect and Urban Planner passionate about creating sustainable, inclusive cities through innovative research. Currently, I'm a Doctoral Candidate (pursuing PhD) at IIT Kharagpur. As a doctoral candidate in Urban Planning, my work focuses on exploring the relationship between in-store and online shopping behaviour of customers and its impact on the clustering patterns of retail outlets. My research utilizes mixed methods and my expertise in statistical modelling and GIS-based analysis to gain insights that can improve urban environments and better serve the needs of all citizens. I have a keen interest in urban economics and use this knowledge to create simulations that support urban planning and policy development. I hold a B.Arch degree from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, where I earned the Silver Medal in 2018. I'm committed to ongoing professional development, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
