About Archith Rayabharam
With over five years of work experience in computational engineering and sciences, I am a passionate and driven researcher who aims to advance the understanding and applications of nanoscale phenomena. My field of expertise is quantum simulations, which I use to model and analyze the interactions between novel materials and water for various purposes, such as water filtration, proton transport, and battery research. I am currently a Research Fellow at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, where I collaborate with a diverse and interdisciplinary team of experts and mentors. At the Oden Institute, I design and execute realistic quantum simulations using density functional theory (DFT) and ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) to study the physics behind water and material interfaces. I also investigate the excitation of electrons in semiconductors and insulators using computational spectroscopy techniques, such as time-dependent DFT. I have co-authored over 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including 4 first-authored papers, based on my research findings.
