About Ari Flowers

I keep AI racks alive and the humans calm. Day to day, I build enterprise servers, bring up Linux, flash/configure switches, and make sure those GPUs actually get to work. When hardware misbehaves, I’m the one with a flashlight in one hand and a shell in the other. I’ve rebuilt systems after water-cooling disasters (three racks’ worth), salvaged what could be saved, and put healthy nodes back in service. I like turning 12-step runbooks into one-liners, labeling the cables no one wants to trace, and writing docs future-us won’t curse. I’m NVIDIA-certified (NCA - AI Infrastructure & Operations) and work with an NVIDIA partner, so my hands are on the metal and my head’s on reliability. Before AI/IT ops, I came up through full-stack development, so I still write the tiny tools and scripts that shrink toil and make hand-offs kinder. Clear code, clear labels, clear docs. Boring, on purpose. What I’m learning next: schedulers and workflows (Slurm/Kubernetes GPU operator), containerized training jobs, and lightweight observability that tells the truth at 2 a.m. Goal: own the path from bare metal to “job done.” Outside the racks: I DJ underground electronic sets, paddle when the weather cooperates, and take my dog on adventures. If you’re in the PNW (or Zoom-friendly), I’m always up for swapping stories. If you’re building sturdy, human friendly AI systems and want a teammate who ships, documents, and keeps it chill - let’s grab coffee.
