About Ari Ikonen
I have been running an own company, EnviroCase, since 2003 with customers mainly from the nuclear industry, but also from other sectors of environmental management and education. Formerly I worked in Posiva Oy, a company responsible for final disposal of spent nuclear fuel in Olkiluoto, western Finland, where I was responsible of the biosphere assessment part of the safety case and, at times, also characterisation and/or monitoring of the surface environment. With the new company, I have continued with similar topics and broadened my experience also to other projects. I have also actively participated in the BIOPROTA forum from the beginning, as well as a number of other international co-operation projects (such as IAEA and EU programmes and projects) and numerous conferences.
