About Ari Shrage

After 10 years on the buyside, Ari founded Aliya Capital Group, an independent research firm focused on the technology sector. Aliya Capital hosts unique management access for large investment firms focused on the technology sector. All calls are requested by Aliya Capital's buyside clients. Unlike a traditional sellside firm, Aliya Capital does not have an investment banking business and does not get compensated by corporate issuers for hosting access. Ari hosts calls with public and private companies for his clients as part of the fundamental research process. All questions are submitted to the moderator who asks the questions anonymously on behalf of the funds. As a result, calls are organized and efficient with limited downtime. All calls are based on client requests within technology including internet, telecom equipment, networking, gaming, SAAS/software, semi's, and hardware. ACG's research universe includes more than 400 companies with a wide range of marketcaps within the technology sector both domestically and internationally. Prior to founding Aliya Capital Group, Ari started in investment management over 20 years ago at Putnam Investments. After Putnam, Ari joined S.A.C. Capital as a Sr Technology Analyst covering the sectors listed above and two years later, started managing a technology focused equity portfolio within S.A.C Capital. After leaving S.A.C, Ari started working at Mission Global Advisers running a technology focused equity portfolio before founding Aliya Capital in 2009. Ari's background running technology-focused equity portfolios within two multi-strategy hedge funds and making long/short recommendations to the firm's CIOs allows him to efficently moderate the corporate access calls.
