About Ariana Trotman

I am a 2020 graduate of Southern Connecticut State with a Bachelors in Science in Public Health. I am currently working at GBAPP, Inc, which is a non profit organization in the city of Bridgeport, CT. I started off an an intern a program called KYS (Know Your Status), which is an initiative that targets minority youth (ages 18-24) to educate them on HIV/Hepatitis C, substance use and Trauma. I was hired in May of 2020 and officially became the Health Educator for the KYS Program. In January of 2022, I was then promoted and became part of Youth Services as the Teen Father's Coalition Coordinator. In this position, I have lead monthly groups with community members and health providers to come together and provide resources for teen fathers. I am also the Community Liaison for DSS, in which I attend quarterly meetings and speak with funders to talk about issues different fatherhood programs are having. In December of 2022, I was promoted again and became the Community Coalition Coordinator/KYS Health Educator.
