About Ariane Dinis

My mission is to contribute positively to build a better society. I followed my dream of working in Social Economics in Mozambique during the last 9 years, which gave me the opportunity to face many complex challenges and experience applying up-to-date solutions to ground developing problems. I have been part of extraordinary national and international teams to implement projects in the most diverse fields – social, health, business development, environmental, landscape, and institutional development. I have managed quantitative and qualitative data collection, adaptation of the questionnaire to the cultural background, assuring data quality in the paper-questionnaire and app design and overall data quality during training and data collection in the field. The overall product is a clean database with coded qualitative answers. I also have the role of a monitoring and evaluation specialist, where I design M&E system and determine key-performance indicators KPIs. Worked in projects with different clients: • Government projects, involves multiple stakeholders with different agendas, which require good skills to coordinate and find strategic solutions, before even implementing the project. Overall objective of capacity-building, centralized national database, and designing strategic plans, policies or programs. • For international firms, I recently coordinated a project that evaluated sexual behaviour of men and young girls to develop programs or policies under USAID Dream Initiative. Impact evaluation of a SMS tool that sent information of sexual health and contraceptive to youth for E2A. • For private companies, provided strategic consulting, whereas, data-driven analysis are performed to explore the opportunities in terms of growth strategy, process improvement, resettlements, and environmental impact evaluation.
