About Arianna Richards

I am a Mechanical Test Engineer at Kardium Inc. with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria. I have a passion for Biomedical technology and a strong foundation in technical writing, problem solving, and project management. Throughout my degree, I completed co-op work terms in both Biomedical fields and Information technology, working for Stryker, Kardium, and the UVic Computer Help Desk. These companies allowed me to grow my skills in a technical setting, and gain exposure to the medical and IT industry. I also completed an honours thesis in the area of orthopaedics, specifically targeting mid-shaft fracture fixation in the humerus. As part of this, I designed, modelled, and simulated a new intramedullary nailing device to create a less invasive procedure for humeral nailing. In my personal time I play in an ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaign with my friends and like to go backpacking in the mountains on weekends.
