About Aric Lim

Hi everyone! I am a third-year medical student at the University of Melbourne! This will be a 4 year journey that I am extremely excited about! I am a 2021 Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Scholar’s Program) graduate from Monash University. I completed my course with a 4.0 GPA and 92 WAM. During my degree, I also received the Year 1 and 2 Faculty Prizes for Biomedical Science. During my time at Monash, I volunteered as a mentor in the Access Monash Mentoring Program for 2 years, with the aim to encourage and facilitate students from lower socioeconomic status to attain tertiary education. Currently, I am a casual teacher at Qs School Knox City, teaching Year 2 and 3 students Maths and General Ability, as well as Year 8 Debating. I also run my own tutoring business specifically focusing on VCE unit 3/4 Chemistry. The joy and satisfaction from teaching students is immeasurable and continues to drive me to want to become a better teacher for my students. Recently, I started my YouTube channel which I plan to detail my medical journey and share my productivity tips to others so that we can learn from each other and be better. During my free time, I enjoy playing golf and volleyball. Playing sports has allowed me to recharge and relax mentally, which is extremely important in achieving success!
