About Ariel Beverly

In a nutshell, I am an entrepreneur, art education advocate, public speaker/performer, and K-12 visual arts educator. As someone who loves to learn, I am very open to new career opportunities. I earned the job of Miss Illinois in June, 2019. Throughout my year of service, I focus on my social impact initiative, which is Arts Education Advocacy. This includes preparing and awarding grants, interviewing with media, community leaders, and policymakers, as well as partnering with state-wide and national organizations. Some of these partnerships include the Association of Illinois Rural and Small Schools, Illinois and National Art Education Association, Arts Alliance Illinois/Ingenuity, Blick Art Materials, and more. I manage several social media accounts that total over followers - focuses including personal branding, organization branding, and business/sponsor promotion. I also have a creative eye for creating graphics and content imagery. My current side hustle is being a jewelry designer and creator. In addition, I manage my own business branding, promotions, finances, orders, and product growth and development. I graduated from Illinois State University I’m 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Teacher Education. I have several years of experience in visual art education in both the traditional public school setting, as well as a nontraditional studio setting. I have skills in most medias, including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and graphic design.
