About Arin Guillory

A business’s books tell the story of what a business does; how it values its employees; its success in its endeavors. Much of the start to my accounting career was devoted to learning (and issuing) the story of as many as 15 clients at a time as their financial statement auditor at Moss Adams. Having in depth conversations with management about their business inspired me, fueled the quality of my work, and put me in a place to meet and make valuable peers and connections, getting past what can sometimes be a deliberate relationship between auditor and client (see: extrapolated misstatements). I planned engagements - set risk levels and reviewed internal interim financials; tested revenue and reviewed debt restructuring evaluations. How I drive the story looks different now; as the Controller at Clatskanie PUD, I oversee payroll, accounts payable, work order and monthly module close functions, bank reconciliations and journal entries; I compile and drive our budget (both general and capital), manage our external audit, compile our financial statements and present Finance procedures, reporting, and initiatives to the Board. I am currently in hiring mode for my department and continue to look forward to what’s ahead doing what I love.
