About Arjan Beerman

City marketing & communications leader with 14+ years in agency, philanthropy, and local government. Born in the Caribbean, I bring a calm, steady mindset to high-pressure environments. I build strategies, narratives, and partnerships that mobilise citizens, brands, and stakeholders. At Edelman, I supported HEINEKEN and served as Account Lead for the Shell Eco-marathon. At the Dutch Postcode Lottery, I worked as Communications Advisor & Spokesperson and later as Global Communications & Startup Scout Lead for the Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge. As Director of City Marketing for the Municipality of Enschede, I co-created a new city-marketing vision with 50+ stakeholders and served as architect & programme manager of Enschede700. I also advised the Deputy Mayor (Economy, Innovation & the City Centre) on strategy, narrative framing, and stakeholder management within a complex political-administrative environment.
