About Arjun Agarwal

Gene therapy is my passion and the focus of my PhD research at Royal Holloway, University of London. I am developing novel CRISPR-Cas9 based methods to treat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. My research involves plasmid construction, plasmid cloning, and gene editing techniques, as well as working with mouse cell lines. I have also gained valuable experience and insights from collaborating with leading experts in the field during my studentship at Genethon and my internship at Nanyang Technological University. I hold an MSc in Cardiovascular Science and a BSc in Biomedical Science from UCL, where I acquired a strong foundation in human and medical genetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. I aspire to make a meaningful contribution to the advancement of gene and cell therapy and to improve the lives of patients with genetic diseases.
