In just 4 years and 8 months, my journey from a Personal Banker to an AVP has been defined by curiosity, hard work, and the belief that every step is an opportunity to transform. I began at Barclays in 2020, immersed in a role that taught me the art of listening, problem-solving, and building genuine relationships under pressure. Every day on the frontline was a lesson in resilience and adaptability. Driven by a desire to learn more and challenge myself, I soon moved into Procurement Operations. This wasn’t just a shift in function—it was a chance to understand the gears that keep an organization running, mastering vendor negotiations and cost strategies while broadening my cross-functional skill set. Then came a pivotal moment in 2022. I ventured into Change Delivery within Group Technology, a leap made not with a technical background, but with a determination to learn and lead. I embraced each new challenge, contributing to key initiatives and gradually evolving into someone who could confidently drive larger, more impactful projects. Today, I proudly serve as Assistant Vice President – Project Manager in the Chief Security Office at Barclays. While my role focuses on guiding tech enhancements that ensure a robust security framework, it’s the strategic blend of innovation and risk management that truly inspires me. My story isn’t just about climbing corporate ranks—it’s about constantly transforming, learning, and evolving.
