About Arjun Panchadar

With a passion for journalism and communications as well as a knack for editorial production, I am pursuing a master's degree in journalism at the University of British Columbia, where I aim to enhance my skills in digital media, research, and storytelling. I have industry experience in the business/equities and sports beats, having worked as a financial correspondent at Thomson Reuters, a global media company, and a copyeditor responsible for editing and social media strategy at Sportskeeda, a leading sports news website. At Thomson Reuters, I covered technology heavyweights such as Apple, Facebook, and Netflix, reporting on their financial aspects, quarterly earnings, major M&A, and key management changes. I also wrote U.S. equity markets reports, mainly focusing on the U.S-China trade war and its implications. At Sportskeeda, I was part of a robust team of writers, editors, and social media managers, helping oversee the quality and performance of the content across various platforms. I have developed core competencies in reporting, writing, editing, corporate ommunications, and mentorship/leadership, as well as a keen interest in business, technology, and sports. I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to new challenges in the field of journalism, public relations and strategic communications.
