About Newshound India Foundation: Newshound India Foundation, India’s only non-profit student media network incorporated in November 2019, has been helping journalism and mass communication students from prestigious partner institutions across India, by means of round-the-year paid, remote internships, mentorship, interactive sessions, and professional networking for students, faculty members, producers and content creators.Within a matter of a year, my dream of establishing the first-ever independent, unbiased, and constructive youth-driven, non-profit news platform with a collaborative educational institute model, is now shared by India’s youngest brigade of meritorious media student and the partner educational institutions they represent. We are working in tandem with students and institutions alike to enable much-needed constructive discourse, to work towards a better and brighter future for the students of today, and offering due recognition to all those educational institutions and collaborators who are part of this endeavour. Our board of directors comprises stalwarts like Ms. Anjali Gopalan, Executive Director of the Naz Foundation.Through Newshound India Foundation, we have been able to help student journalists from educational institutions across the county, despite the onslaught of the pandemic. The Foundation has been funded from my personal savings since its inception without any external influence/interests. Working with student journalists and their institutions has helped us create the first non-profit subscription model for educational institutions that will enable us to help aspiring journalists and bring due recognition to the institutions they represent.
