About Arjun Vedere

I'm a junior at the University of Connecticut majoring in Applied Mathematics, where I've aligned my academic path with my passion for advanced sports analytics. Transferring to UConn from Northeastern University wasn't just a chance of schools, it was a choice to put myself closer to the intersection of math, data, and athletics, with the long-term goal of working in the office of a professional sports organization. At the same time, I continue to explore the broader worlds of quantitative analysis, finance, and machine learning. My current internship as a Data Analyst at Total Mortgage has sharpened my technical toolkit; from building predictive models to running A/B tests while also teaching me the professional fundamentals of being a reliable teammate, communicator, and contributor in a fast-paced environment. Whether analyzing ad performance or diving into player performance metrics on my own projects, I'm driven by curiosity and a competitive spirit. I see data as a both a science and a store, one that, when used well, can guide decisions, unlock potential, and give teams (whether businesses or basketball franchises) a true edge. My vision is clear: build a career that blends data science, strategy, and leadership.
