About Arla Hillner

I was born in United Kingdom, grew up in Hyvinkää and went to school in Turku. Now I live in Helsinki, Finland. I’m an IT-oriented geographer, spurring from my study and working life. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, painting, and sports. I also love traveling and food. Currently, I am working as a team lead and a project manager at Sitowise. In addition to these official roles, I also participate enthusiastically in marketing and sales. As a team lead, I work in the Countinuous Services team. My responsibility is to develop and operate my team's functions and provide support in their everyday tasks. Our team is responsible for the configuration of our map services, GIS data works, and it’s connected customer services. A satisfied customer is our main objective. As part of this role, I also want to support my colleagues in their career development. My duties also include identifying work-related risks, where I am always striving to be an empathetic, inspiring, and encouraging leader. My strength is the ability to communicate and act with people from differing backgrounds. Furthermore, I work as a project manager in several information management projects in the field of infrastructure planning and construction. As experts in information management, we facilitate the availability and sharing of information. I am also good at managing map service projects and information system projects.
