About Arlen Bourque

For twelve years I have been working with Save-On-Foods, presently as the Dairy Manager and in the past as the Assistant Produce Manager. During my twelve years I have been able to develop exceptional skills in customer service, merchandising, and asset management. I work well alone and take responsibility for my role as a department manager. Working in an essential industry through the Covid pandemic has afforded me with the opportunity to take a more active role in both my work and in my community. In 2016 I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of British Columbia. During my studies I was able to expand my knowledge of our world by reading and understanding famous literature, works of art, and important, life-altering events. Even more, my time at University helped form and refine my articulation and writing. All of these skills have served me well in my work experience in regards to communicating effectively, taking account of my work load, and formulating plans of action for running my department effectively.
