About Armand Vaquer

Immediately after graduating from California State University, Long Beach, I began my claims career at United Pacific/Reliance Insurance Companies as a property adjuster. While in college, I worked as a field representative to California State Assemblyman Paul T. Bannai. Duties included constituent problem-solving services, publicity, legislation research and contacts with state and federal agencies. I also was a campaign chairman for President Ronald Reagan's presidential campaigns of 1976, 1980 and 1984 in my congressional district. I also served as Central Committee Chairman in my assembly district. I worked as a feature reporter/photographer for the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner during my college years. My insurance work later expanded into handling general liability, personal injury and property damage claims for several insurers. Putting my experience in publicity and event planning to good use, I started my public relations/event-planning business in 1993. I published THE MONSTER MOVIE FAN'S GUIDE TO JAPAN, which is a travel guide to Japan tailored to Japanese science-fiction and fantasy film fans. Specialties: Insurance: property (fires, thefts, windstorm damage), bodily injury, general liability, uninsured motorists (bodily injury and property damage) and medical claims. Publicist/Event-planner: publicity, photography, media relations, biographies, profiles, event-planning and press releases.
