About Arnab Biswas

I am a Research Scientist at TCG Lifesciences, a leading contract research organization that provides customized solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and agrochemical industries. With over four years of experience in organic synthesis and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from IISER Bhopal, I have the skills and expertise to design, synthesize, and characterize novel molecules for diverse clients and projects. My core competencies include asymmetric synthesis, HPLC, NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry, as well as the ability to perform various reactions, such as hydrogenation, acetylation, acid-amine coupling, protection and deprotection, Suzuki coupling, reductive amination, and nucleophilic aromatic substitution. I have also contributed to the discovery and development of new reactions for assembling chiral molecules, and the evaluation of their enantioselectivity, as part of my PhD and postdoctoral work. Additionally, I have published multiple articles in reputed journals on the enantioselective synthesis of heterocycles, such as dihydrofurans, chromans, and benzotriazoles, using chiral silver complexes and modified cinchona alkaloid derivatives as catalysts.
