About Arnaud Thalasso

My first professional experience was at McDonald's, where I started as a student. One year before obtaining my degree, I was promoted to the position of swing manager, where I took on the complete management of the establishment. This experience provided me with a solid foundation in my professional commitment, as I developed the values that have contributed to the brand's success, such as implementing and respecting standardized norms and processes to ensure a consistent experience across all restaurants. This included a focus on quality and fast service, as well as a continuous drive for innovation to stay at the forefront of the industry. Building on this experience, after completing my studies, I founded my own company in the distribution sector. I acquired skills in creating an attractive offer for my clients while maintaining control over margins. Additionally, I developed and managed relationships with suppliers. The opportunity to sell my company led me to redirect my career and join the leading Belgian DIY retailer. Within this organization, I began as a department manager, overseeing a team of salespersons. This was my first experience in large-scale retail. After successfully navigating this stage, I embraced a new challenge by accepting the opportunity to open a new store in Waterloo in December 2018. This store opening became a historic success for the company, which resulted in my promotion to the position of trade sector manager. In 2022, I embarked on a new endeavor. I resigned from my position and returned to my studies to pursue my FSMA accreditations and become a mortgage credit broker. Finance has always been a major interest of mine, and this new role allows me to combine my commercial acumen with my passion for the real estate market.
