About Arno Angerer

I have an academic background in Liberal Arts & Sciences, refined with studies in AI and Business Intelligence, and currently work as a MLOps Engineer for a German financial services institute. I completed a BA in Liberal Arts, a Pre-Master towards Artificial Intelligence, a M.Sc. in Business Intelligence & Smart Services and coursework on Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Processing for Big Data, Service Design and other relevant topics along the way. I am confident with Software Development, Python and the broader technology landscape - Cloud Infrastructure, Data/AI technologies, building LLM-based systems, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, to name a few areas I've collected hands-on experience with. And I generally take joy in acquiring whatever new skills and knowledge are required to get the job done.Coming from a Data/AI direction, for a long time I have been wishing to immerse myself more deeply into Web Development to bring software more easily in the hands of users and to that end have collected some experience with Django and FastAPI, as well as (very much on the surface) some of the major JS frameworks. With the recent wave of "LLM-powered AI miracles" my curiosity and excitement for learning and growth are at peak levels again at this moment. I also do enjoy teaching and sharing my excitement for programming and technology with others.I have experimented and worked with LLMs and the surrounding possibilities a lot since ChatGPT and the corresponding API endpoints were released and in my free time I enjoy exploring with LLM and agent frameworks and working on small AI-infused/Django-powered side-projects. Mostly for the joy of it and the learning, but also with the glimmer of hope that something that actually adds value for people and might one day turn out profitable may emerge out of it.
