Hello everyone! I'm Arnold, a dedicated public health professional equipped with a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health Sciences from UCLA.Currently, I’m a Planner at La Clinica de la Raza, federally qualified health center (FQHC) in the Bay Area. In my role, I support grant writing and administration for a diverse portfolio of ~30 grants totaling $3M, enabling community health programs to diverse populations across 3 counties and 8 sites.My experiences have cultivated skills and competencies, ranging from planning, implementation, and evaluation to financial management, advocacy, and communication. I've had the privilege of collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, bridging sectors across non-profit, academia, and philanthropy. Prior to my MPH, my work included COVID-19 reaponse, health education, nutrition, global health (Oaxaca, Mexico), and resource coordination.Highlights include: publishing 5 emergency trainings through a 9-month CDC grant, achieving a 100% recommendation rate as a Financial Wellness Consultant, and earning 1st place in the UCLA Global Health Case Competition.My versatile skill set encompasses expertise in grant writing, program planning, implementation, and evaluation, coupled with adept leadership, program management, financial acumen, data analysis, advocacy, consulting, public speaking, research methods, health education, curriculum development, and Spanish.As a multi-disciplinary collaborator, I love approaching challenges with innovative solutions alongside like-minded professionals.
