About Arnold Jimu

Completed my 3 year- articles in external audit at SNG Grant Thornton, working on external audits of JSE listed clients and unlisted clients in mining, real estate, media and manufacturing industries. I then joined the Standard Bank of South Africa Internal Audit team as a Junior Internal Audit Manager within the Personal Business Banking and Wealth space. I subsequently joined the group financial reporting team & got exposure to different Tax legislation that govern the legal entities of over 20 International countries in which the bank operates in. The ability to learn quickly and apply technical information based on facts has been a key to success in this role thus far. Furthermore, my exposure in internal audit and working in a group financial reporting space has given me the ability to work as a team member and also working with teams across multiple countries with different cultures has refined my communication skills. I’m a learner at heart, and I’m always excited at the prospect of learning something new.
