I am a Marine Engineer holding the rank of Chief Engineer Officer. Currently, I work as a Freelance Marine Surveyor representing LONDON OFFSHORE CONSULTANTS MEXICO (now ABL Group). In this role, I have successfully conducted a diverse range of inspections and operations. These include On-Off hire inspections, DP system tests, updating FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analyses), suitability and condition inspections of DP vessels, tugs, and barges. Additionally, I provide marine warranty for sailings. Alongside my inspection responsibilities, I have also been involved in investigations related to cargo transport and potential damage on behalf of Hull & Machinery (H&M) reinsurers, representing shipowners and charterers. These investigations require meticulous analysis and assessment to determine the cause and extent of any damage. Throughout my professional career, I have held various positions on different types of DP and Non-DP Offshore Vessels. These include Chief Engineer, Engine Officer, and Owner Representative. I have also worked with reputable Oil & Field Companies in positions such as Port Engineer, Drydock Engineer, Base Engineer, Adviser, and Technical Support Engineer for short durations. Furthermore, I have experience as a Shift Engineer and General Manager in the Power Supply industry, overseeing operations in two different Electrical Power Plants. My expertise extends to working with Diesel Engines, HFO Engines, and LNG Engines (low, medium, and high-speed) for both Generation and Propulsion applications. I possess comprehensive knowledge of various propulsion systems, including the Azimuth System (Z-Drive, L-Drive, Z-Peller & Azimuth retractable), Controllable Pitch Propeller, Water Jet System (Hamilton & Kamewa), Fixed Propeller System, and Power System (Main, Auxiliary & Shaft Generator System, Frequency inverters). Furthermore, I am proficient in using a variety of operation and troubleshooting software. These include ET (ENGINE TECHNICIAN) for Caterpillar Engines, In-Power for Cummins Engines, Helicon-X3 for Rolls Royce Engines, Tem-Evo for Deutz Engines, and K-Chief 600 & 700. In addition to this, I have hands-on experience with maintenance and inventory software such as SAP R/3, TASK ASSISTANT, AMOS, MAXIMO, and TM MASTER, which have proven to be essential tools in my previous roles.
