About Aron Friedman

I’m a skilled and experienced storyteller. My passion and expertise are writing down narratives in the most uncluttered and enticing way. As a native speaker of both English and Dutch with over 20 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, communication, and PR, I’ve dealt with texts in many shapes and sizes – always making sure the message comes across. Over the last two decades, I’ve been an editor for online media platforms like VICE and VPRO. As a freelance journalist, I’ve written for international publications like ResidentAdvisor, Faith Magazine, and DJMag. And I’ve worked as a copywriter for a range of different brands, organizations, and agencies (Gemeente Amsterdam, Roorda, The Media Nanny, ID & T, a.m.o.).As a music journalist, I’ve contributed to the books ‘Mary Go Wild’ (2013), ‘Awakenings 20’ (2017), ‘50 Lichtjaren’ (2021) and ‘12,5 Jaar Paradigm’ (2024). I’ve translated to English ‘Release’ (2004) and ‘Celebrate Life’ (2017). My first literary publication was a short story called ‘Groeipijn (Growing Pain)’ (Van Oorschot, 2023). Moreover, I’m extremely passionate about electronic music. Throughout my life, I’ve organized hundreds of events, played thousands of DJ sets, and released a series of records. To me, these are just different ways of storytelling and I hold a special place in my heart for nightlife and music.
