About Aron Ward

I am currently employed as an Information Communications Technology (ICT) Manager for the Department of Defence; however I wish to move to private industry in order to make use of the skills I have acquired in my ten years at Defence. Through a range of positions I have developed extensive experience with delivering ICT services to a large customer base on a national basis. I currently deliver ICT services to over customers all over North Queensland. I manage over workstations and have a number large number of staff working for me. I also deliver a program of ICT projects for the North Queensland Defence environment. I have solid technical skills within an enterprise environment that has been developed over ten years running Defence ICT networks. As the Server Manager for Department Of Defence I managed a team of staff that provided second and third level support to over Windows, Unix and Linux servers on a global basis. I am currently qualified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. I have a proven track record of managing substantial resources. My time as ICT Manager has required me to manage over 50 staff and a multi-million dollar budget. I am a dedicated team player who enjoys both technical hands on roles as well as managing teams of ICT professionals while being able to manage my priorities and work with minimal supervision. I have strong communication skills – my day-to-day job involves communicating complex data with the technical team and breaking down this information for clients and stakeholders. Most of all, I am a committed professional with the skills and attributes the job requires, and a strong determination to achieve an excellent outcome for my employer.
