About Arpa Banik

I am a data analyst and actuary with over four years of experience in project management and social entrepreneurship. As the founder and head of project management at Iccheghuri, I lead a non-profit organization that empowers rural communities in Bangladesh through education and social innovation. I have successfully managed multiple projects, fundraised, and partnered with local stakeholders to achieve our mission. I am also pursuing a degree in Data Analytics and Business Studies, with a minor in Actuarial Science and Computer Information Systems, at Bentley University. I have a strong passion for solving complex problems and finding new insights into data, which I have demonstrated in my academic courses and projects. I have also earned the EXAM FM certification from the Society of Actuaries, which showcases my proficiency in financial mathematics and risk management. In addition to my studies, I work at the Registrar's Office, serve as a Resident Assistant and Math Tutor, and coordinate events for the Bentley Entrepreneurship Society. These roles have enabled me to develop my interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as to help others succeed academically and professionally. Outside my academic and professional pursuits, I am a national roller skater and dancer, and a facilitator at Shikor, a cultural center that promotes Bangladeshi art and music. I enjoy expressing myself creatively and learning from different cultures and perspectives. I am also passionate about giving back to my community and have received the Daily Star Award for my academic excellence and social contribution.
