PhD candidate in Chemistry at Kent State University, Ohio, United States. My research focuses on synthesizing platinum-based metal complexes with potential applications in cancer treatment. Platinum compounds such as Cisplatin, Carboplatin, and Oxaliplatin are critical in chemotherapy for cancers including testicular, ovarian, head and neck, lung, and colon cancers. My goal is to develop novel metal-based compounds that may improve therapeutic outcomes for cancer patients. I hold a Master's degree in Chemistry from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), which provided me with a strong foundation in advanced chemistry and research methodologies. This background has been instrumental in my current research efforts. I bring hands-on expertise in advanced laboratory techniques such as Magnetic Tweezers and various cellular assays, including MTT assays, cellular and mitochondrial uptake of platinum compounds, Live & Dead assays, γH2AX, MitoSOX, mitochondrial status evaluations, and apoptosis assays. Additionally, I have extensive experience with a range of analytical instrumentation, including Flow Cytometry, HPLC, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, NMR, UV/Vis Spectrophotometry, Steady-State and Time-Resolved Fluorescence, FTIR, Circular Dichroism, FPLC, and Flash Column Chromatography.
