About Arseni Kostenko

I am an enthusiastic chemist (PhD) with international experience, highly skilled in organic, inorganic and computational chemistry. I authored numerous publications in leading scientific journals, as well as successful research proposals and grants. I am a highly qualified professional with excellent communication skills, who is incredibly keen about science, research and technology and who strives to consistent professional development. I offer the competence of a goal-oriented, creative scientist and welcome career opportunities in chemical research and development as well as in communication of science and technology. As a bachelor student, I studied molecular biochemistry, which gave me an expansive overview about different areas of natural and life sciences. The studies have covered and wide range of disciplines and I learned a variety of chemical, biochemical and microbiological laboratory techniques. During my Master and PhD studies, I worked in the field of organosilicon and computational chemistry. I got proficient in computational molecular modeling and mastered modern synthetic organic and organometallic techniques, analytical methods and spectroscopy. I developed the ability to work independently and conduct the research doing both quantum chemical calculations and the synthetic work. During my PhD I was awarded several prizes for my work. Upon completion of my PhD, I received the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt fellowship and joined the Institute of Chemistry in TU Berlin as a postdoc. I enjoyed a large degree of independence to follow my vision, to engage in broad variety of projects covering the whole sphere of the group expertise and to initiate my own projects. During my career, I put a strong emphasis on combination between experiment and theory. Utilizing my competence in spectroscopy and theoretical chemistry, I was engaged in a variety of collaborations that largely extended my purview as a chemist. Over the time, I was responsible to provide high level of education and training, taught numerous courses and mentored multiple undergraduate and graduate students. This record has further developed my leadership skills and my abilities to connect and collaborate.
